Panel to Share New Strategies for Sourcing Data

How do leading asset managers source and ingest new datasets to make stronger investment decisions? This Thursday, October 4, Crux will co-host a FISD Forum where subject matter experts will share answers to this question. Held at the Amazon Web Services Loft in New York City, the Crux + FISD Alternative Data Forum will share best practices for creating, sourcing, distributing, and managing datasets in the cloud to improve investment strategies, achieve lower costs, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Our Head of Go-to-Market, Elizabeth Pritchard, will moderate a panel on Sourcing Alternative Data: Opportunities and Challenges to share skills and strategies that can increase asset managers’ competitiveness and efficiency. This discussion will highlight how market data managers’ roles and skillsets are changing as data comes to drive not just quantitative, but all major funds’ strategies.

The panel will include the insights of subject matter experts Rich Brown, Managing Director, Market Data, at Schonfeld; Matt Fitzpatrick, Partner at McKinsey & Company; Norman Niemer, Chief Data Scientist at UBS Asset Management, QED; and Kristen Thiede, Senior Vice President at Two Sigma.

We look forward to discussing new strategies for sourcing and ingesting data with these industry leaders and sharing insights with you. To find out more about the Crux + FISD Alternative Data Forum, visit the event website.
